After you see these pics, you might have a better understanding why pilots are addicted to flying. This past Thursday was no exception when I flew from Denver, CO to Casper, WY. Upon arriving in Casper, I was greeted with one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.
Shortly after taking off from KAPA (Centennial Airport) we were greeted with a spectacular view of Water World in Federal Heights, CO.
The clouds north of Denver started to thicken up to IFR conditions so after clearing Bravo, we were able to climb above the ceiling and experienced this amazing view.
From Fort Collins to Cheyenne, WY, the clouds remained thick which allowed us to soak in some more beautiful views above the ceiling.
We were about 30NM out from Casper / Natrona County International Airport when the sun started to set. Quite the welcoming.
Finally, mins before touchdown we were introduced to one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. The topping on the cake was the ability to capture a shot of the very active Downtown Casper below with the fading sunset.
